HOLKER HOLIDAY PARKS
ABOUT HOLKER ESTATE

The Holker Estate covers some 17,000 acres of rural Cumbria encompassing a major proportion of the Cartmel Peninsula. The Estate has a long tradition of farming through the craftsmanship of tenant farmers who produce cheese, honey, prime Shorthorn Beef, seasonal Venison and game, and the famous Holker Saltmarsh Lamb.

Holker Hall sits at the heart of the Estate amongst 25 acres of gardens, meadows and deer park, and is the much loved home of Lord and Lady Cavendish. They both take an active interest in protecting the wildlife in the area and maintaining the conservation of the woodlands and parkland.

Holker Hall is open to the public seasonally along with the award-winning gardens which are home to many rare and exotic plants and trees that thrive in the micro-climate of the area. There is an onsite Food Hall which stocks the Estate's fine produce, along with a Gift Shop, Children's playground and the Courtyard Café, which serves fresh local food and home-made cakes.

Holker Hall and Gardens also plays host to a number of events throughout the year including the famous Holker Garden Festival, known as the 'Chelsea of the North'. Other events include local Producers Markets, Plant Fairs, Chilli Festivals and the festive Winter Market!
